Giga Booster & Weekend Fiesta TV Commercial
To date, Maven has delivered a number of successful commercials for our client Cable & Wireless Seychelles, so when they wanted a cutting edge, engaging TV advert to promote their new Weekend Fiesta and Giga Boosters broadband services, we were their first choice.
CWS is the #1 telecommunications company in the Seychelles. They've been going strong since 1893 and are now the leading provider of fixed, mobile and broadband services to the public as well as the industry leader in business telecoms.
To further cement this #1 position, CSW has launched an even bigger and better broadband package for its postpaid customers. Now on the weekends, Weekend Fiesta automatically kicks in, meaning customers get an extra 10GB of data for free all weekend. On top of that, with new Giga Boosters they can also buy 500MB or 1GB top ups for their broadband as many times as they like simply from their mobile phone.
Showcasing its unbeatable value with these new services, CWS tasked us to create an advert around a high speed race representing the speed and quality of the client's service, with them coming out as the unrivalled #1.
We thought of TRON.
To recreate something this technically challenging we took complete creative control of the production - from conceptualisation, to modelling, animation and rendering, right through to creating an original soundtrack.
The job pushed our animators right to the edge of their abilities. To capture the perfect race motion, we rigged model cars to two joysticks so the animators could actually race them around the track. What you are watching is a real race! It really took some skill (and a lot of fun) to do this, especially when it came to landing the winning car on the podium at the end!
The end result was a cool, fun and exciting commercial that put both Maven and CWS in pole position.
